This role leads the implementation, oversight and management of the GlucoStabilizer program and other diabetes related initiatives to ensure safe, and effective glycemic management. The specialist collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient safety, and support evidence-based diabetes care practices for the MercyOne Genesis Health System. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health and MercyOne Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. 2. Serves as subject matter expert on diabetes care management, including staff education, troubleshooting and workflow integration with diabetes technology. 3. Oversees administrative management/programming and daily operations of the GlucoStabilizer insulin dosing software, ensuring compliance with protocols and best practices. 4. Monitors patient glucose trends and provide recommendations for insulin adjustments in collaboration with providers. 5. Ensures diabetes protocols and policies are up to date with clinical guidelines, and professional consensus statements. 7.
