Job Overview The Associate Clinical Manager is responsible for managing a unit/department by implementing and maintaining specific policies, procedures, and guidelines; leading team members in providing direct patient care by demonstrating expert clinical knowledge; ensuring compliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices; and partnering with a multidisciplinary team in meeting the clinical needs of patients and families The Associate Clinical Manager also provides leadership and management to unit/department team members. The Operating Room at Children’s Hospital Colorado-Colorado Springs is a Level II Trauma Center with 4 OR units and a procedure room that treats children and adolescents. The unit currently supports more than 13 different surgical specialties and performs more than 6,300 cases annually. Our unique yet impressive team is comprised of bachelor’s prepared nurses, certified surgical technicians, anesthesia technicians, anesthesia providers, and surgeons. The staff in the OR are proud to provide safe, quality care to our patients. We perform a wide variety of surgical procedures, including abdominal, cleft, craniofacial, and plastic reconstructive surgery, colorectal surgery, ENT surgery, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology surgery, and urology surgery. Assists team members in achieving unit outcomes, performance and professional development standards; identifies opportunities for continual improvement. Champions clinical practice and professional growth by working with the CNE/CNS to meet the educational needs of the unit/department and by monitoring and evaluating staff competencies. Develops, coaches, and evaluates team members. Mentors team members in creating/evaluating projects focused on improving clinical practice. Provides advice to Clinical Manager on decisions involving hiring, terminations, promotions, and disciplinary actions as required. Monitors expenditures for unit/department and participates in the development of budget recommendations. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Master’s degree in Nursing or a directly related health care field is preferred. EXPERIENCE – Three years of clinical experience. Previous Operating Room Nurse experience strongly preferred. LICENSURE – Registered Nurse (RN) CERTIFICATION(S) – BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. ANCC recognized certification in clinical specialty. Depending on the unit/department, employees may also be required to have a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Adult Advanced Life Support (ACLS), and/or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). Job Title: Registered Nurse – Preadmission Job Summary: The Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Registered Nurse serves as a key coordinator in the surgical care continuum, responsible for assessing, educating, and preparing patients for safe surgical and procedural interventions.
