Surgical Technologist Certified Casual

Position Summary: Responsible for providing surgical assistance in the operating room under the direction of a registered nurse or other designated operating room supervisor and assisting with departmental support activities following hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Prepares and sets up operating room. Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Performs terminal cleaning of operating rooms between cases. Completes and maintains records, reports, and other documentation related to the work, including risk management and performance improvement reports. Participates in cost containment and quality assurance programs. Seeks to improve quality of service by continuously developing individual and departmental competencies within scope of practice.
