The Endoscopy department at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a highly specialized, full-service department meeting the needs of inpatient and outpatient clients. The lab specializes in Upper Endoscopy (EGD), Esophagoscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible sigmoidoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Small bowel enteroscopy (SBE), and Video capsule endoscopy. The endoscopy staff consists of a NP, RN¿s and technicians who are overseen by an Endoscopy Supervisor. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
