JOB DESCRIPTION " The Ambulatory Licensed Practical Nurse is a member of the collaborative interdisciplinary team. The Ambulatory Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes the care process consistent with their license and within their scope of practice. The practice of nursing as a Ambulatory Licensed Practical Nurse is defined as performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding; reinforcing the patient and family teaching program through health teaching, health counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or licensed Physician. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under limited supervision, applies considerable knowledge to perform a broad range of tasks which include but are not limited to direct patient care in multiple modalities not limited to hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, ultrafiltration, continuous renal replacement therapy, and Apheresis.
