This individual must perform these tasks as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, and in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations. Also, must perform routine daily tasks required in maintaining the health, comfort and wellbeing of the residents. Certified Medication Technician CMT - Essential Responsibilities: Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with community policy. Must demonstrate knowledge of “five rights” of medication administration. Administers and records all medication given to residents’ based upon their specific chart. May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medications. Certified Medication Technician CMT records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately, utilizing the computer system to enter and reference resident information as needed. Observes and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse immediately. Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy. Ensure antiseptic techniques and good hand washing practices for infection control, as well as utilizing universal precautions are in place and practiced. Certified Medication Technician CMT reports and when appropriate, records any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents. Submit incident/accident reports to supervisor or Administrator within twentyfour (24) hours after their occurrence. Communicates with medical staff, nursing service and other department supervisors. Certified Medication Technician CMT supervises care staff in absence of nurses. Maintains, cleans and organizes the Medication Room. Maintains a liaison with other department supervisors to adequately plan for resident activities. Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc, including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. Maintain resident confidentiality, staff confidentiality; treat staff and residents with kindness, dignity and respect. Comply with Resident’s Rights rules. PRN RN Opportunity at Encore at Parkside -$40.00 hrly Encore at Parkside is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to residents while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations. This role supports resident safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork across the care team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and care plans. • Assess residents’ physical, psychosocial, and functional status and document appropriately. • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately • Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report to physician and nursing leadership. • Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs on assigned unit or shift. • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards. • Participate in care planning, shift reports, and interdisciplinary meetings. • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed. • Accurately complete medical records, MARs, TARs, and incident reports. • Educate residents and families regarding care, treatments, and health conditions. • Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and block schedule commitments as assigned.
