Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Oncology Physician Practice Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary surgical oncology team, providing comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the continuum of surgical cancer treatment. The Clinical Leader plays a pivotal role in coordinating culturally sensitive care from pre-admission through post-discharge. This includes managing resources to achieve optimal clinical and financial outcomes, supporting quality service delivery, and guiding staff in evidence-based nursing practice. The role also assists the Nurse Manager in overseeing unit operations on a 24-hour basis and serves as a clinical resource and educator to team members. Responsibilities Assists the Department Head in the continuing effort made by the department to improve the quality of patient care and services. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree in Nursing required or must obtain within three years from date of hire (or internal transfer) as a condition of employment. Two years of Nursing experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. NJ RN License required. CPR Certification required. ACLS Certification to be achieved within first year. Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course to be achieved within first year. CSMC IV Certification to be achieved within first year. Certification in specialty preferred.
