Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Operating Room Technician II position is to be under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. The OR Technician II performs various duties to assist with surgical procedures and related operating room activities. The OR Technician II delivers care as reflected in the Association of Surgical Technologists’ Recommended Standards of Practice in a manner that is cost-effective without compromising quality of care. The OR Technician II possesses knowledge of the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. The OR Technician II demonstrates competency to scrub for minor/major surgical and endoscopic surgical procedures. An Operating Room technician II is a non-certified technician. The OR Technician II participates in departmental quality assessment and improvement activities, meets hospital continuing education and certification requirements, participates in student teaching activities, upholds Patient Care Services philosophy and objectives, demonstrates knowledge of Association of Surgical Technologists’ Recommended Standards of Practice, AORN’s Age Specific Competency Statements and demonstrates professional growth and development. Measurement of performance behavior is “as observed by Nurse Manager and/or Educational Specialist according to OR policy and procedure” unless otherwise indicated. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technician Program. Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or equivalent required. AHA CPR required. One (1) year of related experience preferred. Must maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance. Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with physicians and fellow workers. Must pay attention to detail. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be self-motivated and work in an efficient and effective manner. Must work in air-conditioned environment with temperature of 65-73 degrees and humidity of 45-55%. When assigned to pediatric cases, temperature may be up to 85-90 degrees F. Must wear hospital provided scrub attire while on duty. Potential for cuts, bruises, muscle strains and exposure to contagious disease via and body fluids. Potential for exposure to anesthesia waste gases, ethylene oxide, harsh disinfectants, sterilizing agents, high steam pressure agents and radiation. Willingness to work with employees at various levels of skill, knowledge, and abilities.

Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY To ensure in collaboration with the Nurse Manager that each neighborhood provide safe, appropriate and goal-directed care and to provide support and direct nursing staff. To be familiar with all policies and procedures. Be able to seek appropriate guidance as needed. Work in collaboration with medical doctors in emergent situations and support and promote family centered care and maintain effective communication with family members. The RN Supervisor will be responsible for working an on-site schedule of a 3-4 days/week including weekends. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills in change management, emotional intelligence and demonstrated leadership experience in a residential or behavioral health setting. The RN Supervisor will be included in a Nursing Leadership weekend rotation to ensure continuity of systems and protocols are maintained through the entire week. Maintains accurate and clear records regarding changes in shift assignment in accordance with rules of the Center and the 1199 bargaining unit contract. Uses SBAR and other tools, such as 24 hours report to objectively document resident/family concerns Manages night medication cabinet and seeks solutions to obtain medication for residents if needed. Attends management meetings as required, this includes Operations Meetings and other Management Training as scheduled Rounds on Neighborhoods for the purpose of obtaining clinical information on residents, to support and educate staff, to assist with family issues and endorses complete information to next shift. Promotes 24 x7 accurate, objective clinical and administrative reports. Follow-up on status of residents transferred to other facilities and reports follow up to oncoming shift, Team Leader and physician Communicates effectively with Center Departments regarding resident/family needs on tour of duty and documents communication in a clear and concise manner. Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, and/or administrator. Qualifications Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited RN program B.S. N. (required); M.S.N. preferred RN in the State of New York BCLS certificate PALS certification preferred Completion of courses mandated for continuation of RN license, (ex. Infection Control course; Child Abuse course.) Experience Minimum of two years pediatric experience. Minimum of three years experience in supervisory role. Experience in pediatric and adolescent chronic and restorative nursing modalities preferred. Employee Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently. Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies. Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of this Center which includes a medical and physical examination. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds. Perform tasks that may involve exposure to the resident’s blood/body fluids. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary. Working Conditions: Will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area. Will be subject to frequent interruptions. May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. Hourly Rate: $80/Hr. 
Responsibilities The position of Chief Nurse Anesthetist is responsible and accountable to the overall operations and management of the CRNA staff, including hiring, evaluating, and mentoring. Collaborates with the Chair of the Anesthesiology Department in developing, interpreting, and applying department policies, budgets, and long-range plans. Analyzes and evaluates activities to assure established quality patient services and plans appropriate utilization of staff time and capabilities. Coordinates these activities with other hospital departments. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist will demonstrate professional and clinical leadership, expertise, and judgment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Education Program with a Master’s Degree in a related field; or graduation from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education programs prior to January 1998 is required. Certified as an APN in the State of NJ is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a nurse anesthetist is required. Candidate must have sufficient sensory capacity to observe the patient and patient monitors. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in both academic and health care settings. How you make a difference The Nurse Practitioner (NP) under the supervision of the Site Medical Director and other site Physicians, offers a comprehensive range of medical services to incarcerated patients in accordance with established policy and state guidelines. They ensure necessary documentation of services is provided to the Site Medical Director or designee to monitor the provision of clinical services. Additionally, they communicate scheduling changes to the Medical Director and H.S.A. and make arrangements for coverage of medical services if unavailable for an extended period of time.
