Job Summary This position is 40hr, 3-13hr shifts, D/N rotation, weekends/holiday rotation Ellison 14 is a 10-bed multispecialty intensive care unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. We are expanding our care team and looking for motivated Advanced Practice Providers [APPs] to join us in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families. Our usual patient populations are adult complex surgical patients including burns along with acutely ill medical patients (i.e. both SICU and MICU-type patients). While Ellison 14 is the official ‘Burn ICU’ at MGH and has a storied history of caring for critically ill burn patients, currently, thermal burns constitute a minority of our patients (

Job Description: I. Position Summary: The primary role of the Patient Care Associate (PCA), is to protect, sustain, and nurture the patients that live at the Center. They provide assistance with activities of daily living, care of the patient’s environment, and meet other needs as required. Position Responsibilities: 1. Recognize and respond to the needs of the patients and families 2. Recognize and communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the appropriate nursing team member 3. Assist patients with all aspects of personal care as indicated in the care plans 6. Inpatient Oncology, Responding Clinician APP Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA currently has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our cutting-edge Inpatient Oncology team, caring for inpatients with solid tumors or hematologic malignancies. Join a dynamic inpatient oncology team. Work within one of our two subspecialty groups with APPs that specialize in either 1) solid tumor, caring for an oncology patient population who are admitted for medical complications, new diagnoses, and treatment-related side effects, or 2) hematologic malignancies, caring for patients receiving bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies. You’ll work closely with oncologists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge care on either our solid tumor or hematologic malignancy service. Our APPs have the opportunity to be on the forefront of cancer care, collaborating with research teams to care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care. Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients from admission to discharge in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. • Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and collaboratively develop and implement care plans. • Coordinate tests, consultations, and communicate with referring clinicians and consult services. • Perform patient education and prepare patients for discharge. • Support research initiatives and care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care.
