Description The (Per Diem) Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Responsibilities Patient Care Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. Description The Nursing Attendant is an individual who functions in a support role to the Registered Professional Nurse by providing direct patient care and related activities as assigned. Responsibilities Assists the nursing staff in performing selected nursing procedures, treatments, and functional tasks to specific patients including vital signs: Temperature, Pulse, Respirations, Blood Pressure and Pain Rating. Performs procedures associated with activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and personal hygiene of the patient. Observes, reports, and records routine and specific patient data, behaviors and responses to treatment on the appropriate flow sheet/EMR. Reports pertinent information and observations regarding patients to the registered nurse Performs procedures related to assuring a safe environment for patients, staff and others.
