The University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Infectious Disease and International Medicine Division practice in in Minneapolis. In This Role, You Will: Be responsible for inpatient only duties at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East and Riverside campuses in collaboration with an academic service including attending physicians, residents and students. Coordinate patient care as a part of and in conjunction with the IDIM inpatient team. Provide new consultations in collaboration with IDIM attending physicians. Be responsible for follow-up of infectious disease consultations in collaboration with the care team. Provide consistent resources for the inpatient service and patients. General ID and solid organ transplant ID Inpatient consults and follow up visits for patients at all levels of acuity, including ICU. Formulate appropriate infection-related discharge and monitoring plans for oral and outpatient IV antimicrobials (OPAT). Group highlights: 25 physicians and 3 other APPs Inpatient consult service collaborating with primary medical and surgical teams as well as other consulting specialists.
