The Surgery OR team is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to serve as a First Assistant across all surgical service lines , with a strong emphasis on robotic-assisted surgery (robotics experience preferred). This role offers a dynamic, hands-on surgical practice in a high-acuity, technologically advanced operating room. The position follows a day-shift schedule , rotating between 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 7:00 AM–5:00 PM , with occasional off-shift coverage and on-call responsibilities . Responsibilities: Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. Works in collaboration with the health care team. Performs and interprets common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals. Responsibilities : Responsible for assisting patients with and per plan of care, the following: Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc. Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency) Safe transfer and ambulation techniques Exercise according to the plan of care Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency) Patient’s laundry Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.) Observation and teaching of home safety practices Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures Must follow patients’ plan of care and complete all tasks assigned Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor Requirements : Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements The Lakes benefits : part-time position. Position Description: As a Director of Nursing you will organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our Facility. Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing: Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department. Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing service department. Make written and oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning the operation of the nursing service department. Delegate to nursing service supervisory personnel the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties. Provide the Administrator with information relative to the nursing needs of the resident and the nursing service department’s ability to meet those needs. Ensure that direct nursing care be provided by LPNs, CNAs, and/or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure. Review nurses’ notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the resident’s response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident’s wishes. Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that provide instructions on “how to do the job,” and ensure a well-educated nursing service department. Requirements of the Director of Nursing: Must possess, a valid unencumbered RN license in Florida. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience as a DON in a nursing home setting.
