Summary: The position of nursing manager requires a clinically competent Registered Nurse whose responsibilities include planning, directing, supervising and coordinating patient care provided by the healthcare team. The leader is responsible for the overall clinical, quality, service, and financial performance for their area. Collaborates with staff, management, and physicians to ensure quality and patient care is being provided with optimum patient outcomes. Acts as a resource person to staff in problem identification and solving. Serves as a mentor for staff and promotes a team based model.
