Responsibilities Supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing staff during the evening shift Oversee the care of medically complex pediatric residents Provide hands-on clinical guidance and leadership to the nursing team Monitor residents for changes in condition and ensure appropriate interventions Oversee admissions, transfers, physician orders, medications, treatments, and nursing documentation Ensure nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards are consistently followed Respond to clinical emergencies and provide leadership during urgent situations Communicate with physicians, families, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary care team Ensure appropriate staffing and nursing coverage throughout the shift Review nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness Follow up on incidents, clinical concerns, and changes in resident condition Ensure a smooth transition and appropriate communication between shifts Qualifications Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license PICU or NICU experience required Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients Previous RN Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred Strong pediatric assessment and critical-care skills Ability to remain calm and provide leadership during clinical emergencies Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills Compensation & Benefits $130,000–$140,000 per year , based on experience.
