Job Description We are looking for dedicated and experienced Lead Outpatient Registered Nurses in the Fairfax and Ashburn area to work in children’s specialties including Inova Children's Hematology/Oncology, Inova Children's Pulmonology, Inova Children’s Gastroenterology, Inova Children’s Neurology and Inova Children’s Orthopedics & Sports Medicine These roles will be full-time, day shift with varying hours from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Serves as a clinical expert and a team lead for all clinical staff in the outpatient environment while communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others. Duties And Responsibilities Provides oversight of daily clinical operations, workflow, productivity and training to Outpatient clinical team members and updates management regarding any issues in the outpatient setting Collaborates with healthcare team members, patients and families to maximize patient outcomes and to ensure patients are processed proficiently and expediently Serves as resource to team members and to provide training to improve team member competency and enhance level of service Delegates patient care activities appropriately to other healthcare team members and participates in making and revising staff assignments Advocates actively for patients' rights and identifies potential conflicts Evaluates patient outcomes and makes revisions in plans of care. Documents all patient care activities according to documentation standards Minimum Requirements Experience: 3 years of registered nurse clinical experience Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
