Must have experience in supervision and principles, the practice of teaching, etc. Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities. Responsibilities : Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the department. Providing education to existing staff and ensuring medical documentation and education documents are orderly filed Running and assisting with employee training and orientation Assisting with admissions when needed, and with the overall flow of the nursing department and units Qualifications of Staff Development Coordinator (SDC): Must possess a current, unencumbered, active LPN or RN license in this state.
