Job Description The CNA at Abbotswood at Irving Park is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Pay Rate: $17.00-$18.00/hr Schedule: Part Time, 2nd shift including every other weekend What will I do every day? Assist residents with simple requests as needed Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation and other activities Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures Document care provided to residents consistent Provide input to assure that resident individual service plans are current Review 24 hour report and care check lists regularly What will I need to be successful in this role? How you make a difference The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse(s), directs and guides patient teaching and activities that commensurate with his/her education and demonstrated competencies. Key Responsibilities Assist in the assessment and planning of individual treatment programs for patients, consulting with relevant staff members as needed. Implement individualized treatment programs as directed by Health Care Practitioner, administering medications and obtaining diagnostic tests in accordance with orders and protocols. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols, including proper safety techniques, procedures and standard precautions. Respond to patient crises as set forth by site policy and procedure, and assist Health Care Practitioner in medical procedures as necessary. Document nursing encounters using SOAP form of charting, attend mandatory staff meetings and training, and communicate information to relevant staff members as necessary. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment. How you make a difference The Charge Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the total health care delivery system in their assigned nursing unit, including the collection and evaluation of health status data, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. They provide direct supervision of patient teaching and ensure that ancillary personnel only perform services for which they are qualified. The Charge RN is accountable for the overall quality of patient care in their assigned unit. Key Responsibilities Supervising the total health care delivery system in their assigned unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, and coordinating patient care with other departments. Monitoring nursing service, maintain accurate records, and identify potential problems, proposing corrective actions as needed. Assisting with staff orientation, training, and evaluations, and coordinate staffing levels to meet contractual requirements. Ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the unit and maintain appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies. Maintaining a professional atmosphere and attend monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator. Additional Details One shift a week from 7pm to 7:30am Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
