Documents pertinent information regarding patient's response to treatment and progression toward discharge goals in patient's chart. Completes Admission, Discharge, and Groups in electronic medical record. Seeks clarification of physician's orders that are unclear or inappropriate. Interprets clinical data and notifies the physician promptly if immediate changes in management are indicated. INDIRECT PATIENT CARE ACTIVITIES Participates in interdisciplinary patient care rounds by presenting findings on patients as it relates to admission/discharge, and groups on disease specific topics Applies principles of infection control and safety. Description Job Title - Nurse Practitioner-Inpatient Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant - Mount Sinai Hospital - Full Time - Day (12 hour shift) A nurse practitioner (NP) as described in Title VIII, Article 139 section 6910 of the New York Education Law is a RN who has earned a separate certification as an NP through advanced clinical nursing education in a distinct specialty area of practice. Nurse practitioners are independent practitioners who diagnose, treat, and prescribe for a patients condition that falls within their specialty area of practice. Description The Medical Assistant I provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care.
