Your Role on the Team Position Summary The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the design and implementation of education programs and professional development of nurses in their assigned nursing service; focused on clinical outcomes and practice development. The clinical nurse educator oversees the orientation program of new hires, and is responsible for assessing the ongoing learning needs, competencies and skills of the nursing staff into the assigned nursing division. Works closely with educators and clinical nurse specialists in the Department of Nursing Quality, Research, and Education on the design and implementation of organizational education programs and professional development of nurses. Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certificate is required within 90 days from date of hire and maintain current. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred. Training on Violence in the Workplace prevention within 90 days from date of hire.
