Department Overview The Surgery department provides surgical services to treat multiple issues from dental/oral to urologic conditions on an inpatient and outpatient basis. They assist in providing a pre-surgery program for patients, their siblings, and their parents which includes a tour of the hospital and a discussion on how the family can prepare for the upcoming hospital visit. Position Summary Coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. Job Overview Fairview is seeking a Patient Placement RN to join our team at our Midway Campus in St. Paul, Minnesota. This is a part-time position (0.7 FTE/56 hours every two weeks) and is benefit eligible. This role is scheduled for the night shift and includes an every-other-weekend rotation. The Patient Placement RN plays a vital role in coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely placement to support safe, efficient care across the health system. Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, transport, mental health associates and Case Managers. Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very lively Emergency Room. The Fairview Ridges ER processes 72,000 cases per year, with an average of 203 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. New positions added due to volumes/growth. The patient population served by the Emergency Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring or seeking medical care. Twenty percent of our ED volume is pediatric. Schedule: This position is 60 hours per pay period, 12 hour evening shifts (3pm-3:30am) with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
