In order to support our mission, Helio Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work on a Full-Time basis for the Mobile Medication Unit as part of our Utica Opioid Treatment Program providing clinical services to patients in Oneida and Fulton counties. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday from between the hours of 5:00am - 1:00pm through 6:00am - 2:30pm. In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, all Full-Time LPNs are eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $4,000 ! Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Responsible for inventory management and restocking. Assists in EP studies, tilt table tests, ablations, device implants, cardioversions, follow-up studies. Demonstrates responsibility and serious intent to expand EP specific knowledge and prepare/take the NASPE exam within 2-3 years with independent study, in-service attendance and continuing education. Takes proactive approach to identifying and managing unit situations and addressing customer (patient, family, co-workers and other department) needs. Promotes and maintains overall department cleanliness. Appropriately assesses and administers conscious sedation to the geriatric patient. Explains procedures in terms appropriate for the developmental level of each adult patient. Uses scientifically accepted Infection Prevention techniques to prevent and reduce the risk of acquiring and or transmitting infections and manage all body fluids from all persons at all times. Follows all infection control policies and procedures, uses scientifically accepted infection prevention techniques and PPE, and handles or cleans tools, equipment and work surfaces appropriately. Completes all required training and educational programs. Assists in the orientation of new staff by sharing knowledge, experiences and providing verbal encouragement. Services as a resource and role model to others in the department. Participates in all quality and performance improvement activities. Complies with all MVHS and departmental policies, procedures, Codes of Conduct, standards, etc. Performs related duties as assigned. Education/Experience Requirements REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse training program. Previous critical care experience. PREFERRED : Procedural experience and/or EP experience. Licensure/Certification Requirements REQUIRED: Current licensure as a registered nurse in NY State. BCLS and ACLS required or obtained immediately after hire.
