Procedures range from diagnostic right heart catheterizations and coronary angiography to emergent PCI's and mechanical circulatory support (MCS). During procedures nurses are responsible for the monitoring of the patient, circulating the procedure, and case documentation. This includes monitoring vital signs and hemodynamic waveforms, administration of moderate sedation, maintaining any other medications such as vasopressors and anticoagulation, monitoring ACT's, and assisting device activation and maintenance of pacers and MCS. (please note, RNs will not be considered, seeking LPNs Only) Free Onsite Parking at convenient location near University Ave Summary Under supervision of a Nurse Manager or licensed clinical leader and in collaboration with other team members, provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the scope of practice. -Interviews patient about current problems, medications, allergies and reviews medical record for pertinent previous and current information. -Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration. -Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, performing catheterizations, routine immunizations, and/or nebulizer treatments and visual acuity test. -Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse). -Performs variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages and performs triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner. -Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples. -Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures. -Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.
