Prioritizes recruitment and retention strategies in accordance with system and local hospital retention goals. 10. Implements and monitors unit salary and supply budgets, including capital equipment allocation according to MSHS financial goals. 11. Monitors availability and maintenance of nursing equipment and supplies 12. Maintains position control of established positions and manages the recruitment and retention of qualified staff. 13. Maintains patient/employee confidentiality in the management of information. 14. Evaluates nursing staff performance and mentors, coaches, counsels and disciplines staff as needed. 15. Evaluates all newly hired/transferred staff and participates in the decision about passing the probationary period. 16. Conducts regular staff meetings to ensure communication with staff about progress, changes and compliance with all hospital policies and procedures. Maintains records of minutes for staff team meetings. 23. Encourages, recognizes and rewards staff participation in quality and safety initiatives, compliance and successes. 24. Complete IV Certification course and Telemetry certification as per Medical Center policy. Knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment desirable.
