Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate students. Proficiency in using technology and educational software for teaching purposes. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success. Working Conditions: The BNATP Instructor will work in a classroom and clinical setting. May require evening and weekend hours to accommodate student schedules. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shift to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents while supporting and guiding the nursing assistants on the assigned shift. This role is ideal for an LPN who enjoys building relationships with residents, working as part of a team, and helping create a positive, respectful environment throughout the day. As an LPN, you will play an important role in ensuring our residents receive safe, compassionate, and consistent care in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations. What You’ll Do Provide direct nursing care to residents throughout the 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shift. Oversee the day-to-day work of nursing assistants assigned to your unit or shift. Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff and assist with coordinating assignments, services, and resident care needs. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation, including progress notes, physician orders, admissions, transfers, discharges, and incident reports. Receive and transcribe physician orders and communicate changes in resident condition as appropriate. Monitor residents and respond to changes in condition, concerns, or emergencies. Perform nursing procedures within the LPN scope of practice, including catheter care, tube feedings, dressing changes, ostomy care, specimen collection, range-of-motion exercises, and other ordered treatments. Provide IV and IV-site care as permitted by state regulations, licensure, training, and facility policy. Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, nursing leadership, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Participate in shift report and resident rounds and ensure important information is communicated between shifts. Help maintain a warm, calm, respectful, and resident-centered environment. Ensure nursing staff follow established safety procedures and infection-control practices. Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality of all resident and health information. Report incidents, concerns, or suspected inappropriate disclosure of resident information in accordance with facility policy. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the applicable state. Current CPR certification. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, families, and team members. Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions within the LPN scope of practice. Ability to provide leadership and support to nursing assistants throughout the shift. Knowledge of nursing practices, documentation requirements, and regulations applicable to senior living or long-term care. Long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or senior living experience is preferred, but not required. A team-oriented attitude with a genuine commitment to providing excellent resident care. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to move throughout the community during the workday and perform the physical functions associated with resident care. The employee must be able to safely push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 25 pounds and may be required to assist residents during emergency situations.
