Demonstrates a competent level of approved skilled nursing care tasks and procedures using approved technical skills related to vital signs, pulse oximetry, venipuncture, starting standard peripheral IVs only (not midlines or long peripheral lines), urinary catheter insertion/catheter care; and simple dressings, remove/discontinue a peripheral line. 5. Administer IV fluids, provided completion of annual competency IV therapy training. 6. Pediatric Unit Manager (RN) Full-Time | Evening & Night Shifts Available Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Unit Manager (RN) to lead and support our nursing team while delivering high-quality, individualized care to our pediatric residents. The Unit Manager is responsible for promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and providing physical and emotional support to patients and their families. This role reports directly to the Clinical Manager of the assigned department. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage daily nursing activities within the assigned unit Deliver direct patient care as needed Administer medications and intravenous fluids as ordered by physicians Provide wound care and other prescribed treatments Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient responses to treatment Operate oxygen equipment, spirometers, and other diagnostic tools Interpret patient information and assist in clinical decision-making Collaborate with physicians and supervisors to determine appropriate treatment plans Supervise and support Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and Nurse Aides Ensure compliance with established nursing standards, policies, and regulations Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience may be considered Licensure: Current New York State RN license (required) Experience & Skills: Previous long-term care experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and investigative skills Ability to work independently and provide leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills Schedule Full-Time 8-hour shifts Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Monday through Friday with every other weekend Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $60 – $71 per hour (competitive, based on experience) Benefits Include: 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off If you are a compassionate and skilled Pediatric RN leader seeking an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply. Day (United States of America) Department: 100 - 830100 TG - Wellness For Life Position Description: The Registered Nurse in the Wellness for Life Department provides clinical nursing services across community, employer, mobile, and other offsite healthcare settings throughout Terrebonne General Health System’s service area. Under the direction of the Director of Employer and Consumer Health, the RN supports initiatives designed to improve access to care, promote prevention and early identification of health risks, provide patient education, and connect individuals with appropriate healthcare services and community resources. This position requires the ability to function independently in offsite and community-based settings while maintaining communication and collaboration with providers, departmental leadership, and other members of the health care. Qualifications: 1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana. 2. Minimum of (2) years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in wellness or community health. 3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. 4. Experience in community health, ambulatory care, primary care, wellness, population health, occupational health, or other outpatient setting preferred. 5. Experience with Epic preferred. 6. Strong clinical judgement and ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately according to established protocols and scope of practice. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Ability to adapt to changing clinical, operational, and community needs and manage multiple responsibilities and priorities. 9. Demonstrates leadership skills in patient education and community outreach. 10. This position requires the ability to operate a vehicle as a job-related function; candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record acceptable under company and insurance guidelines.
