Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Experience as a school nurse (CSN certification is a plus) Skilled in compassionate care and effective health management Comfortable supporting students with a variety of medical needs Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills Strong communicator, able to collaborate with educators, families, and school leadership Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care to students and staff Conduct state-mandated health screenings (vision, hearing) Participate in IEP/504 evaluations, assessing how health impacts learning Maintain detailed, confidential health logs and records Adhere to school district and state policies, including reporting to ISBE Promote and educate about best health practices within the school This position offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse student body over two sites, becoming an integral part of their wellness journey.
