Assistant Nurse Manager - NorthWest Cancer Prevention

This position will be located at our North West location at 9922 Louetta Road, Houston, 77070. The primary purpose of the Assistant Nurse Manager position is to support daily clinical operations, staff supervision, and the coordination of patient care while delivering efficient and professional customer service. MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cancer Prevention Center. This role supports leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment and plays a key role in staff oversight and quality patient care. The ideal Assistant Nurse Manager will have at least two years of experience ina supervisory role. The hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, and may work 8:00am - 5:00pm. This position will report to our Northwest location, but may need to cover West Houston depending on business operations. In collaboration with center leadership, the Assistant Nurse Manager assists in overseeing human resource activities for all clinical staff, including recruitment, retention, supervision, evaluation, and productivity. Experienced Clinical Nurse - Leukemia

The Experienced Clinical Nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center manages patient outcomes by providing, coordinating and supporting clinical aspects of direct patient care across the continuum of care. They impact quality of patient care, patient outcomes and use of resources in a designated area in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, an RN license and at least twelve months of recent RN experience in medical/surgical or an acute care setting. The candidate must be available to work the Day/Evening shift (7am - 7pm), with rotating weekends and holidays required. G16 Leukemia is a specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia. Hematology patients are hospitalized for supportive care during active, aggressive high-dose chemotherapy/biotherapy and cellular therapy through a wide range of morbidity related symptoms, as well as re-hospitalization for treatment side effects. Leukemia care includes diagnosis, induction, consolidation, maintenance chemotherapy and symptom management, as well as salvage therapies for relapsed disease.
