Job Description Harborview Medical Center's Ortho Trauma Fracture Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant. Work Schedule Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours weekly) Days, Mon-Fri 0830-1700 Department Description The Orthopedic Trauma and Fracture Clinic specializes in the comprehensive management of musculoskeletal injuries, with a primary focus on acute and complex fractures, and dislocations. Our multidisciplinary team of orthopedic trauma surgeons, nurses, medical assistants and ortho techs provides expert care to patients with traumatic injuries resulting from accidents, falls, or high-impact events. Our clinic offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments tailored to each patient’s specific condition. Services include fracture reduction and fixation, post-operative care, follow-up imaging, and physical therapy coordination. We also manage complications such as non-unions, malunions, and infections associated with previous injuries. Provides comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopedic injuries, and when appropriate, their families. Formulate a treatment plan for orthopedic problems within scope of practice. May perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing lacerations and incision and drainage of abscesses, including administration of local anesthesia. Demonstrates professional responsibility and leadership through participation in hospital, University and professional opportunities. Participates in the quality assurance and process improvement activities of the clinic and organization. Shares in the improvement in quality of patient care through participation in committees, implementation of new trends in nursing or medical care, and by contributing suggestions for improvement in organized delivery of care. The Fred Hutch Cancer Center GU Oncology team is looking for an APP (ARNP/PA-C) to provide evaluation and medical management of GU Oncology patients as part of the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. The incumbent will follow patients during their therapy and provide medical supportive care, as well as surveillance after completion of treatment. They will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care of their patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision of an attending physician. Responsibilities Provide medical care, coordination of care, and follow-up for clinic patients in a collaborative, and/or independent fashion, while maintaining effective communication with their team Autonomously manage toxicity of treatment and/or underlying disease with physician consultation as needed Effectively communicate with Attending Physician, Nursing, Pharmacy, and other team members. Address EPIC inbox results, questions, refills, etc. in a timely manner Participates in the conduct of cancer clinical research, including patient, caregiver, and peer education Follow plan of care as outlined by the attending physician – i.e., ensure staging studies (imaging, labs, etc.) are ordered at the appropriate interval; ensure appropriate physician and/or APP follow up is arranged at agreed upon intervals. Precept learners of all disciplines (Fellows, PA, NP, etc) Participates in patient rounds, conferences and committees Active member of the Rapid Response team Qualifications Required: Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must. The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required. Washington state & DEA licensure required ACLS required within 3 months of start date Strong oral and written communication skills required. EMR experience required; prefer experience with EPIC Preferred: 1 year of ARNP or PA-C experience in Medical Oncology strongly preferred The annual base salary range for this position is from $126,984 to $200,678, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
