Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospice team. The Admissions RN is responsible for evaluating patients for hospice eligibility, completing admission assessments, coordinating the start of care, and educating patients and families about hospice services. Purpose of Your Job Position The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition. Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace. Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices) Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this Center, which include a medical and physical examination. Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Center. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Responsibilities Registered nurses (RNs) perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patient's and/or family members, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards. 4. Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units. 5. Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care. Pay Transparency Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $52.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
