Job Description Psycho Social Therapies is a leading mental health agency specializing in long-term care, servicing the geriatric population residing in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state of Ohio. We are actively seeking a part-time (with the option to transition to full-time) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Springfield, Ohio area and its environs. Our mission is to meet the growing psychiatric service needs of residents in long-term care facilities. Hold a degree as a PMHNP - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the level needed to assess and prescribe medication collaboratively with a psychiatrist as determined by the State Board of Nursing. Monitor the clinical operations of the unit and resident’s conditions and ensure that appropriate and quality care is administered. Obtain medications, supplies and medical records needed to provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic are to residents on a continuing basis. Assist in the orientation of new personnel, monitoring their skills and guides and observe care team members that may need assistance with procedures. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of employment. CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Three years of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment.
