The position offers full benefits and a schedule of every Thursday & Friday 7pm - 7am plus one Saturday or Sunday per month. Job Duties: Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum. Nursing Process: Demonstrates the use of nursing process as a problem-solving model. Demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills related to patient’s mental health and physical health needs. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information. Engaged and supportive Leadership Team members who celebrate each other, collaborate and build strong relationships Grow your nursing career with purpose RTs work directly on the unit to support nurses What You'll Do Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, influenza, and respiratory failure Perform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for patients with escalating oxygen and ventilatory needs Manage specialized skills including: Tracheostomy and ventilated patient care CPAP/BIPAP and heated high-flow oxygen therapy Chest tube management Administration of blood products and select IV drips Advanced respiratory assessment and intervention Tracheostomy and ventilated patient management CPAP/BIPAP & heated high flow oxygen therapy Chest tube care and respiratory device management What We're Looking For Education: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
