Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure excellence in resident care Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff education and in-services Collaborate with the Unit Manager to develop and coordinate resident care plans Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports Assess residents daily, oversee new admissions, and ensure physician orders are carried out Respond to medical emergencies and make sound clinical decisions Investigate and report suspected abuse, neglect, or mistreatment per state guidelines Counsel staff on performance and attendance as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by Nursing Administration Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current New York State RN license BLS/CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross) Infection Control Certificate NYS Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting Training Certificate Experience & Skills Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience with supervisory responsibilities Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills Experience with Sigma Care or similar EHR systems preferred Benefits Comprehensive Medical & Dental Coverage Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition Program Supportive, team-oriented work environment Company perks and employee discounts This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while leading a dedicated nursing team in a collaborative and supportive setting.
