Illustrative Duties Nursing Assistant 1 Under Direct Clinical Supervision, Performs The Following Duties Changes simple dressings as directed, gives enemas, douches, and irrigations as directed. Applies abdominal “T” binders, hot water bottles, aqua “K” pads, ice bags, and coolers, and hot and cold compresses to patients as directed. Assists patients in collecting urine and stool specimens. Job Summary A dialysis nurse is a registered nurse specialized in nephrology nursing. His/her work involves taking care of patients with impaired kidney function undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Registered Nurse 2 (T&RC) Positions perform duties in each of the three functional areas described below. Clinical Management: Consults and coordinates with other health care team members to resolve complex clinical issues and develop short and long-term clinical goals for assigned units. Integrates and evaluates clinical care knowledge specific to the needs of unit individuals; develops unit-specific policies and procedures in consultation with nursing management staff.
