Duties Description Do you have nursing experience working in a community setting? Rockland Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse 2 Community to work with individuals with mental illness to prepare them for discharge to a skilled nursing facility. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Registered Nurse 2 (Community), you would directly provide, oversee, and coordinate nursing and health related care services for a caseload of individuals in a community setting, such as a Family Care Program, Mobile Integration Team, and outpatient clinic; perform clinical case management activities; serve as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team; and provide nursing-specific clinical, consultative, and instructional assistance to individuals and their families, other disciplines, and health care providers. Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside and within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Registered Nurse 2 Community if they have: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience providing direct services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities, addiction, or substance use disorders in a community setting. OR Candidates from within State service may be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($94,121) Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000). This position does include an additional $4,000 location pay. Description Duties Description The Registered Nurse 1 will coordinate, direct and provide professional nursing care to residents of the Nursing Home under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Administrator. Transfer: Current New York State employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, to a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would have experience in a Long-Term Care setting with a geriatric population. Additional Comments Salary reflects the contractual salary range at step 4 and a geographic pay differential of $35,000 and downstate adjustment of $4,000 for New York City, Westchester, and Suffolk counties. Salary also includes shift differential for evening and night shift and $575.00 inconvenience pay. All Shifts Available.
