Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a per diem RN (Registered Nurse) to work the day shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH)’ outpatient ECT suite. Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is a brain stimulation therapy. It uses a mild electrical current to produce a brief seizure. Electrical stimulation causes chemical changes in the part of your brain that regulates mood and emotion. If you are a compassionate nurse with Age-Specific Knowledge & Skills who possesses the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet patients’ physical, psychological and social needs when caring for a population of adults (18– 65+) with a teamwork approach - you will really enjoy working in Princeton House ECT Suite. Location: Princeton House Behavioral Health Outpatient ECT (1000 Herrontown Road, Princeton, NJ). Key Roles and Responsibilities: The per diem registered nurse works closely with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. The nurse focuses on expanding the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-appropriate considerations of assigned patients. Scheduling Requirements: Minimum of 3 shifts per month 7am-2pm. (The per diem RN may leave earlier once their assignment is completed). Additionally, you must work one shift either before or after a holiday. No weekends required. What We Require for this Role: Education Bachelor’s degree required, or in pursuit of Related Work Experience 3-5 years of PACU/OR, critical care & psychiatric experience required.
