There are two sides to this. One group of nurses prepare and recover the patient following the procedure, while another group of nurses is in the rooms with the interventional radiologists and others to assist with the procedures. Some of these nurses do go over to MD Anderson for Radiologic cases scheduled over there. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the elderly.
