As a Part Time Registered Nurse , you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Beavercreek, OH . The scheduled hours are 21 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 7:00am-2:30pm. Must have strong clinical and phlebotomy skills. What You’ll Do Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic. Responsibilities Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit. Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are being met; Notify them as soon as possible when patient condition changes. Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques. Check vital signs. Review all medications and perform a medication reconciliation at each visit. Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (i.e. foley catheter change). Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using the aseptic technique. Complete documentation timely and accurately. Qualifications One year of clinical LPN experience. Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work. Current CPR certification. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
