Immediately respond to and assess the child whose feeding MV pump or monitor is alarming to determine cause of alarm; troubleshoot the alarm system and follow through on directives; inform Registered Nurse as needed; recognize basic changes in child such as: apnea, wheezing, retractions, changes in behavior or LOC, seizure activity, skin lesions, and poor tissue perfusion. As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner you will: • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses within the ARNP scope of practice. • Monitor course of treatment and make referrals to other health care providers as necessary. • Coordinate care/case management as indicated, including collaboration with medical consultants and other healthcare/rehabilitation providers, attorneys, the employee’ supervisor, and the employee. • Diagnose and treatme of non-work-related injury and illness that requires limited follow up and fall under ARNP scope of practice. • Fitness for duty evaluation and screening, including modified duty and appropriate restrictions as warranted by evaluation, unable to work and return to work protocols. • Conditions which therapy may be initiated by the ARNP.
