Join us! Job Summary and Qualifications Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Promotes and works as a team player. Is responsible for the use and functioning ability of the Axiom Artis Hemodynamic system. Is knowledgeable of all procedures being performed in the cath lab to include but not limited to the equipment needed for each stated procedure. Is able to be multi task and function as a table operator,scrub person, circulator and or monitor tech. Is able to care for pre and post Cath Lab patients Is competent in each of the previous roles mentioned and the competencies are evaluated annually and documented on competency skill checklists. Initiates and sets-up equipment for each stated procedure. Maintains sterility of equipment during procedures. Is knowledgeable of sterile technique for all stated procedures. Is proficient for in veni-puncture skills for the administration of IV conscious sedation, volume and emergency medication during any given procedure. Knowledgeable in the area of monitoring during induction of the conscious sedation medication. Continues to monitor pre-intra- and post procedure until patient is fully alert and all VS and Aldrete score return to patients baseline. Maintains a balance of supplies for utilization during procedures while being cost conscious. Is a customer service representative and meets or exceeds all of tenets customer service skills. This position offers a unique experience on our in-patient service lines for an individual who wishes to pursue a career in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, build relationships with patients/families and be immersed in a highly educational environment with frequent opportunities to attend research lectures, pathology conference, and obtain CME through GI grand rounds and fellows workshops. Management of nutritional support in the form of enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition is also provided. The service line also performs a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The physician assistant/ instructor will work alongside faculty colleagues, pediatric gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellows, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and pediatric residents to care for this pediatric patient population in both the acute care and ICU settings. We seek individuals who are organized and detail-oriented and can work well with staff and faculty from different departments to coordinate outstanding patient care.
