Position Purpose This position provides optimal care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of evidence based psychiatric nursing practice and the theory of human caring. Nature and Scope The psychiatric registered nurse on the Alert Team must be able to work interdependently within a team framework and demonstrate competency with mental health/chemical dependency assessment and referral. The incumbent must provide optimal care through assessment, planning and evaluation of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their families.
