Understand and perform complete documentation and full report to the licensed personnel caring for the patient post-insertion. Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures regarding clinical practice and infection control. Troubleshoots/declots obstructed central line catheters. Monitors PICC/Midline and educates staff on prevention of line infection and routine care. Submits surveillance data for Quality and Infection Control. Provides infusion consultation services to enhance the intravenous skills of the nursing staff through bedside teaching, central line troubleshooting, and consultation on any infusion therapy questions. Ensure that resident care and documentation is in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately. 2.
