As the RN Float Director of Nursing - Assisted Living, you will provide leadership coverage and clinical support where it’s needed most, guiding teams through transitions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting best practices across multiple campuses. You’ll work in a variety of settings, including memory care, assisted living, and care suites. The ideal candidate is adaptable, has prior assisted living experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to build relationships quickly. Candidates must be willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays to support communities in Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Colorado, and Florida. Identify training needs, plan, and conduct educational opportunities. Provide clinical leadership and oversight of resident care services. Oversee nursing care, assessments, care planning, and medication management. Coordinate care with residents, families, providers, and community partners. Respond to changes in resident condition, incidents, and clinical concerns. Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys. Promote person‑centered care, dignity, safety, and resident choice. Collaborate with the site leadership team to support overall operations. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across Cassia. Be available for on-call support for licensed and unlicensed staff. RN Float Director of Nursing - Assisted Living Qualifications: Must be in good standing with the MN Board of Nursing and have current MN nursing license (and work towards licensure in all five states.) Job Description HealthPartners is hiring for a LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT Float working in the Urgent Care department. Will float to St. Paul, Arden Hills, Apple Valley, and Woodbury clinics. More clinics in the future may be added. ***SIGN ON BONUS*** The Required Qualifications For The LPN Position Include Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current LPN licensure in Minnesota. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling. One year working experience as an LPN is preferred. The Required Qualifications For The Medical Assistant Position Include High school diploma or GED. Graduated of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT License Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT is preferred The LPN Position Responsibilities Include Identify common and recurring nursing needs of the patient. Recognize the need for and perform routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting. Assist patients to achieve basic health care goals. Identify patient education needs, provide instruction and refer appropriately. Document observations, actions and patient outcomes. Provide safe, accurate and clinically competent direct care to patients and families. Recognize patient’s abnormalities or urgent problems and seek appropriate assistance. Obtain health history information. Obtain accurate vital signs, recognize and report variances. Teach techniques or provide information according to established program. Accurately and appropriately document procedures and treatment in each patient’s record. Appropriately communicate information to other members of the health care team. Provide the patient and family with current and accurate information regarding the procedure and care. Perform telephone screening under direction of RN or MD. Assure patients’ rights to privacy, safety and confidentiality. Maintain current practice by obtaining continuing education in relevant practice areas. Maintain CPR certification. Serve as a catalyst in improving standards of LPN practice. Serve as a role model for technical conduct and practice. Provide support to professional and technical staff. Solve problems appropriately seeking assistance from members of the healthcare team. Effect positive response from patients and other members of the healthcare team through interpersonal skills. The Medical Assistant Position Responsibilities Include Room patients and complete vital signs and other pertinent physical measurements. Administer medication and clinical procedures according to authorized policy and documented according to HealthPartners policy. This may include DISCUS or AIMS assessment. Review charts for the presence of pertinent information relevant to the patients appointment. This may include Prepared Practice work as developed by the team. Provide and document any needed and requested health educational materials to the patient. Handle patient and their records in a private and confidential manner per HealthPartners policy. Seek medical and/or nursing assistance when encountering an acutely ill patient or a patient with a changing condition. Prepare exam rooms and treatment rooms and set up for procedures. Assist provider as needed. Prepare the patient for medical interventions. Prepare charts and records for appointments as indicated by the type of clinic visit according to established practices. Check MSRs for completion and route appropriately. Prepare lab, x-ray and miscellaneous forms as requested Process drug refills according to clinic protocols Monitor station logs as assigned. Facilitate timely and accurate flow of communication within the clinic/location. Accurately receive and relay messages and test results to the appropriate person/location in a manner consistent with clinic practices and/or standards. Gather all necessary and appropriate information from a caller and relay information to the appropriate provider for necessary follow-up. Inform reception desk of provider’s schedule status and assist in coordination of urgent and non-urgent provider schedule changes to ensure patient and provider needs are met. Perform patient correspondence when requested and assist patients in completing forms when appropriate. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to procedure and OSHA standards. Complete scheduled cleaning requirements for designated work areas. Document completion of work to comply with infection control and OSHA standards Implement other infection control procedures as needed and adhere to protective clothing requirements. Ensure clinic supplies are adequately stocked and well organized. Process and deliver department inventory requests in a timely manner. Routinely check expiration dates and remove or replace outdated supplies. Maintain prescription sample supply cabinet as per clinic protocol Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and adequate records are kept. Ensure inventory of instruments and equipment is current. Ensure instruments and equipment are calibrated as needed and maintained in proper working order.
