Promotes a constructive/positive atmosphere within the work area by demonstrating the ability to cooperate with and assist fellow health team members as well as patients and families. Seeks guidance and assistance from the assigned nurse when knowledge base and skill level is in question. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of universal precaution, infection control and isolation procedures. At all time adheres to the Facility policies and procedures. Practices aseptic hand washing according to CDC guidelines and policy. Assist with the stocking of supplies in the perianesthesia and perioperative areas. Assist with room turnover, maintains cleanliness of the perianesthesia and perioperative areas. Terminally cleans stretches at the end of the day. Assist with patient transfer in the perianesthesia and perioperative areas. Maintains BCLS certification, if applicable.
