Our team provides patient-centered care through therapeutic engagement, medication management, and behavioral interventions in a supportive, team-based environment. Job Description Summary The Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care to critically ill patients. This position will work under the clinical supervision of a physician Intensivist, within the guidelines of nursing process and Advanced Practice Provider protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Advanced Practice Provider. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant performs physical assessments, collects and documents data, conducts approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, and provides direct patient care services in the ICU setting. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant contributes to excellence in patient care, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization and nursing profession. Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in an intensive care setting. Departmental specialized training to provide care to patients within role.
