POSITION OVERVIEW Job Summary The Unit Supervisor oversees daily operations of the nursing unit to ensure high-quality care for residents. Qualifications Education: Associate Degree Experience: 1-3 years Licenses and Certifications Must have and maintain a current, valid nursing license and current, valid CPR certification. Counsels personnel as need arises and refers documentation to the Nurse Director. Communicates departmental concerns to the appropriate administrative personnel. Functions as Incident Commander for all emergency situations until relived by Senior Management. Functions as a leader for Code Blue and MET teams. Represents Administration on weekends, holidays and during off hours. Communicates to Nursing Administration rationale, progress and evaluation of changes made, problems relating to operations of the hospital, and recommendation for change in administrative policies to carry out objectives of the hospital more efficiently.
