Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at the Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN This is a 1.0 FTE ( 80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Clinic Hours of Operation are Monday–Thursday: 7:00AM–6:00PM and Friday: 7:00AM–5:00PM. NO WEEKENDS! This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 New Hire Sign On Bonus! As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences. Implements assigned aspects of the patient teaching plan. Documents care in the medical record. Effectively communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN. Takes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patient. Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practice guidelines. Job Overview Fairview Ridges Hospital is licensed for 150 beds and is located in the twin cities southern suburb of Burnsville, MN. Ridges Hospital serves a wide geographic area in which growth is still occurring while remaining a community based hospital. We have a great opportunity for an RN to work in a Flying Squad position on the Float Pool. In this position you will work on the Flying Squad responding to codes across the hospital and work shifts in the ICU, Emergency Department and Med/Surg areas. This position is (0.75 FTE) 60 hours/two weeks, working NIGHT (7p-7:30a), 12 hour shifts, every third weekend rotation. The starting base rate of pay for the position is $41.69.
