Role Summary The Clinical Nurse – Per Diem (RN) is a Registered Nurse reporting to the Clinical Nursing Administrator and embedded in the fast-paced Howard University Hospital Emergency Department — a Level I Trauma Center serving the Washington, DC metro area. Through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care to acute and emergency patient populations. Job Requirements The Clinical Nurse I (CN I) provides safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients on the 7 West (7W) Medical-Surgical Unit. Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and UMMS standards.
