Job Description The Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant creates a safe environment for patients, saves lives when necessary, provides hope, empowers patients, and teaches new tools for coping to patients . The Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, individual/family education groups and activities of daily living.
