About this Job: General Summary of Position The incumbent in this position functions as a consultant practitioner and educator for patients staff and physicians concerning problems with inpatients or outpatients with ostomies fistulas/draining wounds pressure wounds and incontinence care. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University hospital's philosophy policies procedures and standards. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provides consultation to patients staff and physicians relating to preoperative postoperative and routine care of ostomies fistulas/draining wounds pressure wounds and incontinence care. Provides preoperative counseling to the patient/family direct care to patients for ostomy skin and incontinence problems and outpatient followup and care as needed. Assesses the need for selects methodologies strategies content resources and conducts/implements patient education and staff training programs. Determines and evaluates ostomy skin and incontinent care products to be stocked for Hospital use. Participates in research and other educational programs/projects relevant to the area of specialty and/or profession as requested. Generates reports patient records and course documentation according to departmental guidelines. Maintains and develops knowledge base and skills in the area of wound ostomy and continence therapy. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures; attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Develops strategies to market and maximize utilization of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse. Performs other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/provider and/or a registered nurse. Duties may include venipuncture medication and vaccine administration measurement and documentation of vital signs and assisting providers with patient exams and telephone and clerical support. About this Job: Unit Highlights Nurses on Labor & Delivery care for pregnant patients from 16-weeks gestation until the time of delivery of their newborn(s), as well as in the immediate postpartum/recovery period. Our patient population ranges from individuals with uncomplicated deliveries to those with the most complex, high-risk medical and psychosocial issues. Job Summary Job Description: 8 Hour shifts, Monday through Friday around 10am-6pm. $500 bonus, payable $100 per month for 5 months. Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide companion care for a pleasant elderly lady living in Herndon, VA. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive client to appointments and on errands. Must be willing to cook meals following a recipe and willing to do laundry. Consistency with the same Caregiver is important to this client. She walks with a cane and needs some assistance monitoring mobility for fall prevention. Meal preparation, light housekeeping, some grocery shopping and transportation to appointments and to run errands. She is a very polite and engaging client. Caregiver must have reliable transportation. Benefits: Earn $20 per hour with current HHA certificate or CNA license. Time and a half for major holidays. Job Responsibilities Must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations: Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services. Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing. Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes. Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client. Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees. Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor. Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Must have at least one year of documented experience as a Caregiver or licensed CNA. Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport client Pass a background check and drug screen Current Driver's License Current TB test Immunizations to include COVID-19
