RN Supervisor needed- State-Of-The Art Nursing and Rehab Facility 3 - 11 & 11 - 7 Shift Full time Qualification: Current license as an RN in NY Minimum of 6 Month to 1 year experience as an RN supervisor in long term care Demonstrated competence as a nursing practitioner Demonstrated leadership and human relations skills Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight of the facility and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations Maintains nursing guidelines are appropriate Establishes a compassionate environment by providing support to residents, families and employees. Evaluates every resident experiencing a change of status in health (including transfers to hospital) and reviews documentation of same. Monitors administration of medications and provides corrective in-service for nurses requiring the same. Monitors meals to assure compliance with policies. Assists in the orientation of new staff. Evaluates work performance of nursing staff. Provides disciplinary action and participates in grievances/arbitration. May immediately suspend and/or require staff to clock out and leave the facility for such unacceptable actions as drunkenness, fighting, patient abuse, refusing an assignment, insubordination, etc. Assists in the recruitment, selection, promotion, and termination of employment of nursing personnel. Assures adequate staffing for all units calling replacement staff as necessary. Completes investigation sheets on all accident reports and submits to ADNS. Starting salary for this position is $80,000/yr Benefits include: travel reimbursement, paid Holidays, PTO, Health benefits Shift: Monday - Friday Wound Care Responsibilities: Provide clinical expertise and support to nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the management of wounds and wound-related conditions Develop and implement wound care plans for residents in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Educate and train nursing home staff on proper wound care techniques, products and equipment usage Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper wound care is provided in a timely manner Monitor and document the progress of wounds and adjust wound care plans as needed Maintain current knowledge of best practices in wound care and stay abreast of new developments in the field Wound Care Requirements : Active nursing license At least 3 years of nursing experience in nursing homes or long-term care facilities Wound care certification preferred Strong understanding of wound care principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Must be comfortable driving distances up to 2 hours away Asure Wound Solutions offers a competitive salary and benefits package for our Clinical Specialists, Wound Care Supplies. Job Summary In the ICU of a hospital, patients are often in critical condition and need constant monitoring and care. ICU nurses review data from special equipment to track a patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and other vitals. They also carry out more traditional nursing duties such as administering medications and communicating with patients regarding their condition. Essential Functions Performs a thorough and timely assessment of patient’s condition including physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative aspects. Identifies problems/nursing needs including discharge needs. Intervenes appropriately to address identified problems and needs. Evaluates effectiveness of care and revises plan if necessary. Transcribes, verifies and carries out physician orders in an accurate and timely manner Manages time efficiently/sets priorities appropriately. Initiates and effectively maintains IV therapy. Follows the 5 “rights” when administering medications. Coordinates patient care and verifies, coordinates and carries out physicians orders accurately. Coordinates interdepartmental activities (i.e. lab, radiology, etc).To ensure timely, efficient care. Coordinates interdepartmental transfer smoothly and efficiently.
